How to stretch a shrunken cashmere / wool sweater?
My cashmere / wool sweater shrunk. Is there a technique you can use to United Nations without reducing the real draw? Otherwise, something in the cleanup could be done?
Unfortunately, I can say from experience that, once reduced can not be un-shrunk. Unless someone has created a clever technique to solve miraculously shrunken sweaters / cardigans, etc. so I am not aware yet. My mother was a beautiful cashmere sweater for my honeymoon, had a couple of times during the honeymoon. Wash when we returned, and cubes of mourning tears when I realized that I had cut to fit a year. When I took my mother (in the hope it could be remedied) laughed so hard he had tears streaming down his face and nearly fell.
